One year the admission to the grounds of the local winter festival was through this culvert. A less arduous side route lacked the distant view. The Christmas trees are collected by the city and brought to the site to decorate the festival. We planted them in the snowbank creating a tight forest on either side of the tunnel.
Artist Carolyn Shapiro and I collaborated on the entry gate for the Ice on Fire Festival for eleven years, took a year off, and this year will do it again.
