In Shirtwaist Story, Delia Robinson portrays, through a unique
combination of graphic novel and art book, the haunting memories of
Peter, a descendant of the family whose New York sweatshop was
destroyed in the notorious 1911 fire in which 146 garment workers
perished.

From critical reviews of Delia Robinson’s work:

Colleen Mondor, Booklist, "....beautifully unsettling illustrations.... stunning."

Marc Awodey,  Art New England--"...an inventive body of work that's also unpretentious and playful."
"Her works are evocative and multi-layered. She's an inventive figurative painter, but
also a visual storyteller whose language is clear yet technically complex."

G. Blake MacPhail, Art Notes, Burlington, Vt.  "...a sense of fantastical visual
adventure and emphatic artistry...a dream landscape consistent in style but
surprising in content."

Jerome Lepani , The Barre-Montpelier, Vt. Times Argus. "A sense of... the
unseen apprehended in her sudden illuminations of ripe political or psychological
reality.”
