This story shows up again and again in my work.
Someone said I must be highly religious because I sometimes use Biblical themes in my artwork. The truth is, the Bible stories I use are always those I cannot understand. Lot and his wife, Noah and the Ark, The Three Kings with their age inappropriate gifts (thanks Hannah Gadsby), Jacob Wrestling with the Angel, and so on.
Perhaps I hope reworking them will help me understand.
