This dainty little painted pony is what used to be called an "Indian Pony," as if pintos were an indigenous American breed of horse.

Her circus curtain depicts Victorian painted ladies, the houses of
San Francisco, another American construct with complex roots. People came from everywhere to make such a vibrant city, and in the same way, the little horse comes from a complicated past with Arabian stallions in her distant bloodlines. That part of her past is seen in the sky landscape.

She is adored by a pug.
