Jacob is sleeping here with a stone for his pillow, dreaming of two rickety ladders... but no worry; angels don't NEED ladders. They can fly.
The angels are like angry wasps and Jacob is miserable with his head on a stone. That stone was said to become the cornerstone for the biblical Bethel and is now rumored to be kept under the queen's throne in England.
Some say the dream of ladders connecting earth to the heavens suggests there is a connection available to us to the infinite.
