Site-specific Sculpture
Constructed for a river clean-up festival, this chair was a popular conversation piece. Easily viewed from a nearby bridge its ultimate meaning was much discussed.
In making it, my interest was "How high do I need to raise this ordinary kitchen chair before it becomes art?" Fifteen feet.
The line from chair to pipe to reflection is especially enchanting to me.
